Rabbi Menachem Edri does not turn the other cheek.
A student in the Ben ish chai yeshiva where he is the director, has taken him to court for shooting him twice and then beating him up. Rabbi Edri learned that the student had been involved in criminal activity.
It is alleged that after the student sustained two bullet wounds to his foot he fell to the ground and Edri began to beat him with the gun, after which Edri fled the scene. Edri later ordered the student to keep quiet about the incident and paid him large sums of money for it. According to Edri’s attorney, Yaron Gigi: “[Edri] is a peaceful man, who follows the Torah.”
Sure.
