The NY Times is ratcheting up the vitriol on the Ground Zero mosque. Almost everyday for the last few weeks they have been printing articles denouncing anyone who opposes the monument to Islam which, at 15 stories, will be looming over the graves of those murdered in the name of Islam. The Times and the rest of the media denounces all who question the mosque as bigots, hate mongers and anti-American.
They refuse to acknowledge that 70% of Americans and New Yorkers polled also oppose the mosque at Ground Zero.
Yesterday, as he has been doing recently, Nicholas Kristoff, wrote another column on the mosque.
I attempted to post another comment which, once again, was rejected as objectionable by the Times staff.
Here is my comment for you to read.
We are approaching the anniversary or 911.
Yesterday the NY Times gave Imam Rauf , the head of the planned Ground Zero mosque, a large op-ed to spread his views.
Imam Rauf, spoke last night on Larry King Live.
He warned the viewers that if the mosque is not built two blocks from Ground Zero as you and many others want, the Muslim world will erupt in violence.
However, the vast majority of the families of the 911 victims, the people of NYC, and the American people want it moved. Even Gov. Patterson is on board with this.
I will be at the rally against the mosque on Saturday, 11 Sept., 3pm, at Park Place between Church St and West Broadway.
I look forward, Mr. Kristoff, to showing the world how the majority of Americans feel about a 15 story monument to Islam towering over Ground Zero.
Hope to see you there.
Imam Rauf told Soledad O’Brien on Larry King Live that
“If we don’t do this right, anger will explode in the Muslim world,” Rauf said. “… If we don’t handle this crisis correctly, it could become something very dangerous indeed.”
This crisis could become much bigger than the Danish Cartoon crisis which resulted in attacks on Danish embassies in various parts of the Muslim world [and hundreds of non-Muslims were slaughtered]
He added that moving the mosque to another location, away from Ground Zero, will strengthen Islamic radicals and weaken America.
The Ground Zero mosque, he argued, is a national security issue and anyone who opposes it is endangering America.
Go to the demonstration in front of the mosque on Saturday, 11 September, 3pm. Park Place between Church St. and West Broadway. No signs permitted. Only small American flags.
Hang out with like-minded people, have fun, express yourself and let the world know what real Americans believe.
